Gîte des Clossets

St Germain de Coulamer is a quiet, picturesque village of some 400 people. Set in beautiful, rolling farmland, the village is typical of the region. The gîte is a detached house located on the edge of the village on a quiet dead-end lane at the end of which is a bridleway leading you into the countryside on a 4 or 8-mile circuit with stunning views.
A short walk from the gîte will take you to the boulangerie and the Bar/Tabac with its accompanying grocery shop and restaurant. If you’re feeling particularly energetic, you can play petanque near the church whilst younger children can busy themselves safely in the play area alongside.
For all other shops, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies etc. you have a choice between Sille-le-Guillaume and Villaines-la-Juhel (8 or 11 miles). If you need us, we live just a mile away from the gîte and can be with you quickly.
The gîte has all the conveniences and amenities you’d hope for to ensure an enjoyable stay and include: dishwasher, full oven and hob, micro-wave, washer, dryer, TV (+DVD player) and a BBQ. Heating is electric and 8kWh per day are included in the price. The original granite fireplace works like a charm and there is plenty of wood for your fire.
The area is best discovered walking or cycling, on quiet country-roads or country paths. You’ll see the countryside as you remember it and, in season, you can bring home bunches of superb wild-flowers, or generous helpings of juicy blackberries.

The village's Bar/Tabac makes meals,and a few kilometers away, you'll have a choice of restaurants to enjoy (we have sampled many of them and will be happy to share our opinion of them!)

We are in a triangle made by Alençon, Mayenne and Le Mans, and easily accessible from Paris (the autoroute goes to Le Mans) and Caen (les than 2h).
