Der Fuerstenhof - Hotel
Rathausplatz 8 87435 Kempten Germany
The Hotel Fürstenhof with its 56 spacious rooms furnished in the old English style is the perfect setting for your stay in Kempten. The first mention of the Fürstenhof dates back to the year 1187. For over 350 years the crowned heads of the Hohenstaufen and Habsburg dynasties, for example the Emperors Frederick III and Maximilian I, often had stayed here. Around 1600 the house was converted into a patrician palace in the Italian style. In 1764 the alderman and merchant Johann Christian Fehr added the Londoner Hof. Its Rococo façade is complemented by a magnificent staircase.
