In practically every town or village you can't help but notice the connection of the population with their history. You can easily visit the neighboring province of Drenthe; Hotel de Zon is almost on the border of these two lovely regions! Despite of its age, (the hotel was built in 1870) Hotel de Zon is a very modern hotel located on the Opsterlandse Compagnonsvaart, next to the bridge in the centre of Oosterwolde. The good life is here, at the ancient turf trail; the water just outside you door and the shops around the corner. The halls in the hotel can be used for several purposes (like a meeting of party). Besides the cozy lounge, the restaurant, and the billiard room, we actually have an original theater hall.
