Hotel Hanzestadlogement is situated in a historical building dating back to 1645 and is located in the centre of the historical Hanseatic city Deventer along the IJssel. All the rooms are furnished differently. Every room is named after a Hanseatic city. All rooms have a kitchenette. When you enter the hotel, the atmosphere reminds you of grandmother’s days. You will be checked in with a cup of coffee or tea and a piece of Deventer cake. Also during your stay, you will enjoy this warm hospitality. It's a cosy and small family hotel with a tea and coffee house. The hotel also sells traditional trading products and there is a Hanzemuseum. There is also an old Dutch sweetshop which is definitely worth a visit!
There is a shop in the hotel where you can buy all sorts of products from different Hanseatic towns of Europe. For example Deventer koek (spiced cookies) and mustard from Deventer, tea from Zutphen, honey and candy from Hamburg, wine and marzipan from LĂĽbeck, sweets from Helsingborg, chocolate from Brussels and marmalade from Copenhagen. Behind the shop is a Hanze-museum, with wooden malls to make Dutch biscuits, coffee mills, chocolate malls and an old bakery where lots of Dutch candy is sold.
