In 1932 build the Almelose beer and sodaproducer Hagedoorn a nice villa for him to live. In 1943 when the factory had to close, he sold the villa to the PTT a port and telephone company. They where looking at vacation adresses for their employees and families, and this was a perfect place. The villa was extended with several facilities like a restaurant, serre, terrace, bar and a lovely garden. The beautiful nature of the Twentse landscape lies at your feet at the moment you leave the hotel. At this moment Hotel Restaurant Wyllandrie is a eyecatscher, despite the renovations the character of the building has never changed.
