Stayokay Soest is an HI-hostel in the heart of the Netherlands, nearby Amersfoort. Among woods and dunes and yet easy to reach.

The perfect place for a few days of walking, cycling, swimming, visiting palaces and museums, maybe a visit to the city: Stayokay Soest is the ideal home base for enjoying nature and culture. Stayokay Soest offers plenty of comfort. The rooms are housed in a separate wing and all feature private sanitary facilities. The main hall is the place to meet fellow guests for sharing stories about your adventures or relax in the bar and restaurant, enjoy the reading table or kick back in the TV room. The chefs prepare delicious breakfasts and dinners. The kitchen will be happy to arrange special meals on request such as a tropical buffet or barbecue. Outside Stayokay Soest has a number of sports and playing fields, a picnic area and campfire place. The hostel has different sports and games equipment. Stayokay Soest is in the middle of the country and rich in untouched and diverse natural beauty.It is a place surrounded bij forest, fields and sanddunes. Within walking distance you will find the 'Soester Dunes' and woods, a unique nature reserve of 500 hectares. In this dune area are various walking routes of different distances. In the area of the hostel you will find castles and manors. For example Castle Groeneveld with gorgeous English gardens and the elegantly furnished Castle Sypesteyn which reflects the late Middle Ages, the Golden Age and Regency period. In Doorn lies the Castle Huis Doorn, well known from Emperor Wilhelm. As well as these castles and manors, there is also THE palace, Palace Soestdijk. Soest is situated 20 km from Utrecht, 7 km from Amersfoort, 10 km from Hilversum and 40 km from Amsterdam. These places are easy to reach by public and private transport. The diverse area around Soest offers many possibilities for a programme for several days. The hostel has meeting room for groups up to approx. 180 persons. Audio-visual aids are present. The hostel staff are tuned into welcoming groups; from primary schools to universities and other (educative) meetings. The hostel staff are willing and able to make a suitable programme on request. Special rates apply for groups.
