Auberge de Campveerse Toren

Auberge de Campveerse Toren - Hotel
Kaai 2 4351 AA Veere Netherlands

Auberge de Campveerse toren has a unique location on the Veerse Meer (lake Veere) in the old fortified town of Veere. For over 500 years, this old tavern (with at present 14 guestrooms and 3 superior rooms) has served as an inn. William of Orange and Charlotte of Bourbon celebrated their wedding feast here on June 21, 1575. The excellent restaurant and most of the guestrooms enjoy a stunning view on the Veerse Meer. Four guest rooms are situated in the original building of the inn, the others are situated in nearby houses on the waterfront. The hotel is located at the entrance of the harbour, very close to the centre of Veere, a beautiful little town with no more than 500 inhabitants. Veere has become known as the 'Pearl of Zeeland'! We are happy to give you full personal attention in our hotel.
The hotel has been classified as a monument, the restaurant is furnished in a classical style with many beautiful paintings done by local artists from the 1950's. The guestrooms are all provided with modern luxury and comfort, are individually decorated, and most of them enjoy a view on the lake or the Veere waterfront. During the low season, between september and june, Veere is a haven of peace. Just the perfect location for touring by bicycle, walking, or enjoy the local cuisine. Close to the hotel, you will find many nice and small shops, a beautiful museum and a touringboat (1-hour trips on the surrounding waters). If you want even more, you could always hire a sailing boat.
