Casa da Palmeirinha

A graceful old house centered on inner courtyards and gardens, with swimming pool. Near the Alvor bird sanctuary and natural reserve, 5 to 10 kms from several large and small beaches, and 8 kms from the historical town of Lagos. A truly portuguese townhouse in a quiet village near the sea but far from the tourist crowds. Good walks, horse riding, and not far from the surfing paradise of the West Cost of the Algarve.

Rates:

60 to 80 euros, depending on the season, breakfast included .
15 euros an extra bed.

Brakfast only.
Guests have accesso to the kitchen for tea, coffee, sandwiches or salads (no cooked meals allowed); a fridge and microwave oven is available



How to go there:

From Faro Airport or Lisbon, take the A22 motorway direction Lagos (West). Exit when you see Mexilhoeira/Odeaxere, after Portimão and Alvor. Follow the road signs to Mexilhoeira Grande, then go up until you reach the church on top of the village; Casa da Palmeirinha is on your left, an old first floor house with yellow stripes around the windows. The entrance is by a green door on the side of the house.
