Anne and Nick would like to welcome you to our country cottage just an 8 minute drive to the old Moorish capital of Silves, offering Bed & Breakfast in style. We live in an adjacent cottage and in the B&B cottage - Casa Velha - have one double letting bedroom, with a double bed and own en-suite shower-room. The room is tastefully decorated and has a ceiling fan, but we must point out that as this is a traditional Algarvian longhouse, with walls up to 2ft thick, it keeps its cool in the summer and warmth in the winter...you'll rarely need the fans. Although this is Bed and Breakfast you can use the kitchen to make your tea and coffee...squeeze orange juice..or prepare a G 'n T if that's more your taste! There's a large fridge you are welcome to use. For most days from April to October breakfast is served on our beautiful terrace underneath the vine. But if that is not possible - we do get just the odd bit of rain here..hard to believe I know! - then you can relax in our dining room. We offer a full continental breakfast with fresh fruit, breads, cheese, local honey and so on - you won't go out for the day hungry! And for a small extra charge we are also delighted to prepare a packed lunch for guests. We have a menu to suit all tastes - including wine or beer to make it a proper Algarve picnic...but please let us know in advance. The lounge, which you are welcome to use, has sat tv, radio and CD player - and guests are welcome to relax here. We also have lots of books (about 200 at the last count!) , board games etc. Guests who visit this peaceful location are usually looking for somewhere to switch off - and it couldn't fit the bill better for that. But it is also a fantastic location for those who want to walk or cycle in the stunning countryside. We are just a few minutes from access to the Algarve Way - the cross Algarve walking route. We'll be happy to pick you up from the end of your day's walk and take you to the start of the next leg...it will be 5 euros per journey. We also have bikes for hire for a nominal fee - please book in advance. If you really can't leave work at home there is free wifi. Mobile phones work very well at Quinta das Uvas. Of course our pool is for the use of guests at any time. Quinta das Uvas really is a home from home in a beautiful part of the Algarve and we look forward to welcoming you to join us for a relaxing stay in our very own little piece of paradise. As we offer our B & B clients a quiet place to contemplate and relax we are sorry to say that we don't accept children on our Bed & Breakfast basis.

Meals:

Continental breakfast is included and from April to October this will usually be served in the sunshine in the private courtyard.
