Casa de Santa Ana da Beira

The origins of Casa de Santa Ana da Beira are lost in time. The existing documents concerning the house date from 1798 and confirmed that the house has always belonged to the family Homem de Ferreira. In successive generations, the house was extended and renewed, always preserving the architecture and the characteristic materials of the Beira Alta. In the year 2000, after an authorized process from the Tourism General Direction, they started the rebuilding and remodeling process, adjusting it to fit the requirements for Tourism in the Rural Space. The house, now remodeled, is equipped with six ample rooms dedicated to Tourism in Rural Space. The yard, which had been used for planting agricultural products, was transformed into a gorgeous garden and orchard with a swimming pool and tennis court

How to get here
To get to Paranhos da Beira follow the A1 – Lisbon/Porto until the Coimbra Norte exit / IP3. When you get to Rojão Grande, leave IP3 at the Mangualde – Guarda exit / IC12 and head towards Nelas. In the roundabout of Fonte Luminosa (João XXIII Square) in the center of Nelas, take EN231 in the direction of Seia / Serra da Estrela. 12 km after entering Paranhos da Beira, turn left in the Luciano Homem Ferreira Street, where you will find the house.

Coming from IP5, head towards Mangualde or Celorico da Beira and then Nelas or Seia, depending on your exit.
