The house is located inside the walled city, after the Arc of Santiago in the Calle Cambrones, right next to Santa Marìa la Mayor. The name of the street dated back from the 14th century when Doña Evangélica, an impoverished woman of noble birth, started here the first linen and silk weaving workshop in the village. In one of the windows, one can still see a humble coat with the arms of the daughters, who married noblemen and left for the Indies.
