Hostal Loreto - Hotel
Calle Loreto 12 03700 Denia Spain
The hotel is in the centre of the old city, close to many good restaurants and shops. It is rumoured that there is a secret tunnel to the castle on the hill top behind the hotel. The hotel was formerly a nunnery and was built by the Marquis del Campo about 450 years ago. It is 800 metres from the beach.
Although classified under strict Spanish legislation as a Hostal we offer all of the facilities of a Hotel, with the exception of a lift. Due to the historic nature of the building it would be very difficult to meet the current requirement that a Hotel must have a lift if there are more than two floors of accommodation. In an ongoing process of improvements, safety deposit boxes will be installed in more rooms this year. Spanish television will also be installed in a number of rooms, with satellite television coming next year. At present there is a communal television/recreation room. There are many activities such as Ti-chi, Yoga and line-dancing in the Hotel and guests are welcome to participate in them if they wish.
