The Living Museum Hall consists of two distinct parts but perfectly integrated in order to raise awareness of the world of bees: As nature classroom and as a museum of beekeeping.


The classroom:

KNOW IS LEARNING TO LOVE:
The Bees Live Classroom Valley Museum was created fourteen years ago with the aim of raising awareness of the fascinating world of bees.
The life of bees is an example of solidarity and continuing adaptation to the world in which they live. His perfect social organization, language and communication, reproduction, defense of the hive, search and processing of food, knowledge of different individuals who live in the hive, their commitment and dedication on behalf of the community, are taken as example for human society.





Watch the bees at work acting freely in their natural environment, but safely to the observer, are unique in this unique living museum, for which it has six hives alive, between crystals, where we see the queen laying eggs, the interior of the cells with the whole process of metamorphosis of the larvae, workers preparing the honey, performing the dance of eight, and so on.





It also has recordings of fieldwork conducted by museum staff.


Exhibition:

Visiting the museum is complemented by classroom exposure beekeeping equipment and old: traditional hives throughout the peninsula and Morocco, extractors, cazaenjambre, honey, smoked fish and other various utensils used for bee work.




Guided tours:
All tours are guided by the director of the museum, with over thirty years of experience and research in the world of bees.

The visits have a duration of 1.30 hours in which to 2.00horas through direct observation, recordings, posters, and other material beekeeping, the speaker shelled us all the fascinating world of these tiny beings, placing great emphasis on vital importance for life on the planet that have bees.

Mother Nature needs tiny and laborious beings systematically selecting one by one the thousands of plant species, were fertilizing their flowers every year and renewing life. They are the clearest example of biodiversity on the planet Earth.







The visits are intended both for students, colleges, students, cultural groups and family associations of the elderly and anyone with concerns, being such varied topics ranging from history, math, language, biology, sociology, botany.





Director of the museum:
Teacher and beekeeper self, Gerardo Perez Gonzalez, director of the museum, set up the first hive more than 34 years ago while still a student. During the years of beekeeping has become its main activity, both in the field of production and the teaching of bees.

Knowledge of the life of bees was fascinated from the beginning led to the investigation of these insects, for which he mounted his own home a few observation hives for over 20 years formed part of his family.

The first steps in teaching the world of bees led him to give talks and lectures in schools and colleges throughout the Spanish territory, and beekeeping courses for amateurs.



In 1997 after 20 years of work and research created Bees Valley Museum, in order to transmit their knowledge and try to improve the perception of the world of bees in society, and for which they have spent thousands of people, moved by curiosity or a genuine interest in visiting the museum and are the main distributors.
