The Bear Hotel has retained all the warmth and friendliness of its history, whilst offering you the best of food, wines and present day comfort. Stage 1 of the refurbishment programme has been completed & The Bear still retains its olde worlde charisma. Relaxing at The Bear Hotel The Hotel has 42 well appointed bedrooms, all en-suite. The cosy public bar and lounge, with open fires, both with good fresh bar food allowing two great places to relax. Our restaurant is noted in the area for a superb choice of freshly prepared English and Continental cuisine, all individually prepared for you. Whether you are staying for business of pleasure, we will give you a really warm welcome and will do our very best to help you enjoy your stay. Functions at The Bear Hotel Our two conference rooms can take up to 120 persons. Any Occasion Mile stone Birthday Celebrations from 1 to 101. Retirement, wedding, engagement, christening parties, whatever the occasion. We can cater from a light finger buffet to a four course sit down gala dinner with entertainment. We tailor our buffet and sit down menus' to suit you the customer. If you don't see what you would like in our menus, just ask. We are happy to re-price our menus to cater for you particular needs. We are also more than happy to quote for your requests. Around and About Local attractions include Nelson's Victory, The Mary Rose and the Roman Palace. From earliest times, Havant has been famous for the crystal clear waters of its natural springs, some of which you might like to visit; Hama's Spring, now called Homewell, is in the town centre. And with Portsmouth just 6 miles away and Chichester 9, there are plenty of shopping opportunities.
