Oaklands House is long established with a relaxed atmosphere, heated swimming pool, licensed bar, free Wi-Fi, air conditioned bedrooms and parking. From our location on the Isle of Wight it's just a short (uphill) walk to Brading Downs, making Oaklands ideal for both walkers and cyclists The heated swimming pool (June to September) is open most days from 14:00 until dusk. The friendly village pub, The Yarbridge Inn, is just across the road. Walk just a few more metres for fishing on the River Yar. Oaklands was featured in the April 2006 Sunday Mirror article 'The Best of British at Bargain Prices'. Oaklands has again been awarded 5 stars by IW Council for food hygiene standards and has 'Gold' status from Green Island Tourism A light buffet-style breakfast is included (see below). Minimum booking is for 2 nights. Rare red squirrels come to the garden to feed - so no pets allowed. Please note that Oaklands cannot accommodate children under 18 years of age.
