Beechfield House Hotel

Beechfield House Hotel - Hotel
and Restaurant SN12 7PU Beanacre, Wiltshire United Kingdom

The traditionally furnished, individual rooms of this hotel are housed in a striking late Victorian country house, set in 8 acres of beautiful grounds.
The hotel offers itself to you as an ideal base from which to explore the region's plentiful countryside and sleepy villages and towns, including the National Trust village of Lacock, the Cotswolds, Somerset and Dorset. The Roman City of Bath is also just a short drive away. After a busy day of exploring you can take a refreshing dip in the hotel's heated outdoor swimming pool or enjoy a mouth-watering candlelit dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Christopher and Felicity Whyte look forward to welcoming you to their hotel. Beechfield was built in 1878 for a local gentleman named Richard Keevil, and remained an impressive family home for the next ninety years, until it was converted into a hotel in the late 1960s, when the word 'House' was added to its name. The hotel houses four comfortable, fully-equipped meeting rooms: Blake, Chippendale, Sheraton and Linley, all of which can be set up as 'boardrooms' or as presentation 'theatres'. The largest room can accommodate up to 80 people for a drinks reception or 60 people sitting down to a banquet-style dinner. The Orangery and the Terrace can also be booked for your company's exclusive use. Free wireless internet access is available in the hotel's lobby. The swimming pool is open from May to September. Food and beverage: The hotel prides itself on using only the very best ingredients in its food; many of the vegetables and salads used in dishes are home grown, and other produce, including meat and poultry, is sourced from nearby farms in Wiltshire and Somerset with strict animal welfare policies. Breakfast Breakfast is served in the dining room during the week between 07:30 and 09:30 and from 08:00 until 10:00 at weekends. The hotel is happy to vary these timings to suit the travelling arrangements of individual guests, but does ask for reasonable notice to arrange this. Lunch Lunch is served in the dining room between 12:00 and 14:00. A fixed price menu is available daily and soon you will be welcome to choose from the àla carte selection too. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially at weekends. Dinner A candlelit dinner at Beechfield House is a memorable experience. Although there is no strict dress code, it's fun to dress up a bit and make your meal an occasion. Enjoy an aperitif or cocktail in the bar beforehand. Dinner is served from Monday to Saturday between 19:00 and 21:00. Booking is essential. A range of light dishes and snacks, including sandwiches and soups, are available throughout the day, which you can enjoy in your room or by the pool and even in the garden. Afternoon tea is a tradition at Beechfield House, and can be enjoyed in the Morning Room, Bar or the Orangery. Cakes, crumpets, scones and other delicious delicacies, produced in the hotel's own kitchen, are certain to tempt even the most strong willed of guests. A wide choice of teas, plus coffee or hot chocolate are also available. Beauty for You: Beechfield House's Beauty Salon offers a comprehensive range of treatments including massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, manicure, pedicures and waxing, plus the Decleor range of body envelopments and skincare treatments. Treat yourself to some well earned pampering during your stay.
